If you’ve never checked out Duct Tape Marketing, do yourself a favor. It’s chock full of smart marketing techniques that can help, everyday. I subscribe to their daily newsletter and find nuggets all the time to help SpeedClean…a small business. I’m sure you can do the same.
There was a post today that was interesting for a few reasons. It talks about the need to create an overarching marketing plan, not just one that uses specif tactics. I’m a big fan of this and again,. being part of a small business, understand how hard it is to do and stick to. My favorite saying and something I live by, not only work by is “Plan the work and then work the plan”.
What I like most about the post however is the planning process that is described. While it centers specifically on marketing plan development it’s really a process that can be used for much, much more. Why? Because it requires you to do some data and intelligence gathering and then put that data into an actionable plan.
Plan the work. Work the plan.
Any other thoughts on this. Do you have a process that you use that can make business planning and execution simpler?
