No. The tape has an advanced low tack adhesive on it that provides good adhesion but without any permanent markings.

There’s 200′ of tape on the roll.

We’re not going to make you do anything, but we strongly suggest using it to cover any exposed electronics and to protect walls from scuff marks. Momma don’t like scuff marks.
